Ingame chat is now fully functional and will be in the soon-to-be-released build 0.2.0.

Below is a silly example of its use.



The drawn images float about in a whimsical manner before vanishing.  That's very important.


34 hours until I board the plane...



EDIT: This is either quite funny or it's getting very late.  Remember what I said about drawings drifting around a little and you might appreciate this:

I'll probably make a feature like that, but might not have time to get it done by tomorrow, busy as I'll be with the other stuff...  :/

11:15 PM.  Taking off tomorrow.  Staying at a Comfort Inn next to the airport.  Couldn't help but notice the bags under the desk clerk's eyes.  Think she's pregnant.  Recently-crippled battery doesn't charge past 83% any more.  Need to finish new drawing tool and implement a gameplay feature critical for release.

I'm ready.

1:53 AM.  Feeling strangely serene though I should be stressed.  Probably the music I'm listening to.  The jumpthrough platforms are finished, physics-wise, though they could use some more tweaking to fix a tiny bug.  Moving on to finishing the drawing/walling tool.  Midnight code flow.

4:04 AM.  Rest not found.  Getting to that part of the night where you wonder how the lack of sleep impairs your judgement.  Reading up on makefiles and compiling the server through an SSH tunnel.  Hope the tech holds out when I've got 8,000 miles of liquid earth between me and the box.  Coding's on hold but is coming along nicely.

5:23 AM.  Completed my makefile education and celebrated with a successful build and relaunch of the server (notably incompatible with all released clients) -- things are going well.  Now to get some sleep while I've still got a cushy bed to sleep on.  Painter now interfaces properly with World module, flattening graphics and such.  I'll complete it at the airport / on the plane, maybe.  Hope Chicago has wifi somewhere...

7:10 AM the next day, but I'm in Japan where it's 9:10 PM.  The morning came too quickly and I didn't get a damn thing done.  Then airport, then airplane, then airport, then thirteen hours in an airplane with insufficient wattage to power my computer--my fault for not having a power inverter.  This followed by Tokyo train system adventures.

Anyway.  Long story short, I'm going to bed for a few hours, waking up at around noon central time, and getting my stuff done.  Sorry for the delay.

Well, I just gave my SOWN talk.  I guess it might not have made it into the video, but I showed off a bunch of the stuff you guys drew in the prototype world.

I'm damned tired.  And I've pushed the release date back to "sometime in the next week".

Also, kickstarter.

You damn well better release soon, it might also be a neat idea to eventually distribute the server software if this gets big enough :D

I hope you add CTF and shit like that soon enough too.
