NeonPlat 2 is the sequel to the crazy BubbleBobble inspired Neon platformer NeonPlat.
In the sequel, you'll find things pretty much as they were, except with all new enemy, and even an (up to) four player co-op mode.

Platdude hops around the level, grabs a bunch of spheres, throws them at the bad guys, smashes the balls, and paints the town a slightly light shade of blue.

You can Download NeonPlat2 here for Windows, Linux and MacOS.

I like this.  I'm a sucker for bubble bobble-style games Grin  I felt it could have done with more notification for when you lose a life though; most of the time I didn't notice I was in trouble till I hit the game over screen.

It also felt like it was crying out for some background music.  It seems a bit too quiet as it is.

The game will re-emerge on Tuesdays, with extra fixings and trimmings.
Indeed, first and foremost, the hitting of Neonplat is being displayed with a bunch of red blobs!  It's noticable, now!
Weee!!

Not sure what to do about the music.  I've not been very musical at all, recently..
Guess we'll wait and see.

For those who aren't afraid of jumping onto moving floors, today's new NeonPlat 2.2 edition includes a whole great big bundle of addictive gametypes, some new pickups, and a whole bunch of other tweaks.

Go get it!!

Just tried the updated version; those changes make a big difference Hand Thumbs Up LeftGrin  I particularly like the spike-o-rama mode.  It adds an extra tension that's missing from the main game (I also found it easier to spot the paint-able platforms when all the others are falling).  And with the music the whole thing feels much more complete and polished.

Good job!

Thanks.

Oddly Spike-O-Rama was how the game was originally devised, but I felt it was a bit "too" tricky, and removed the spikes.   Just goes to show, sometimes those early ideas do have merit, so long as you implement them correctly!
