I finally got around to finishing this thing. But i'll spare you most of the reasons it took so long. Blood Boy is an arena platformer where you have to fight enemies indirectly, using randomly generated items, while at the same time protecting 1 to 3 shifting objects from harm. FOCUS! It's a messy, messy game, and definitely not for everyone. It also contains my first finished song ever  ... Please go easy on bashing the music, i'm very new at it. Special thanks to Arthur Lee for fixing his extension pxplay, enabling me to finally add the music! |

This is cool. I love the style and the ideas behind it.
I did have serious trouble keeping track of the clot though. I know that it's the flashiest thing on the screen, but it really did get lost in the noise for me, especially when it was raining stationary particles as it flew through the sky.

The crystals do get lost in the action a lot, they get extra confusing when they change appearance while darting around. I changed this once, but then changed it back.
Why? Vell! I found pretty early that i could only play this game well in a certain state of mind. Since games like that interest me a lot, i decided to go in that direction all out. It takes a lot of focus to do well and to keep track of everything going on.
I probably failed in a lot of what i tried to do, and there's still the random factor in there that can mess things up for you... It's a bit unfair, i know.
But, yeah...
Inane, I almost made the deadline, actually :D! I'm glad so many things messed up in the end, cause it gave me time to polish and further bring out the things i enjoyed about it. Also, it was a blast to work on.

GreatFox and Winter, try downloading msvcr71.dll and put it in the same folder as the bloodboy exe. msvcr71.dllIf that works, please tell me and i'll add it to the zip file; if not... I'll keep trying. |
