Hi everyone,

i have finished it!
It was a pretty long ride and i would like to thank you all for the support the whole time.  Gentleman

Well, now i can finally present the finished site to you:

Announcement on PixelProspector

->Special Thanks to Jason “JaJitsu” Boyer who is responsible for the creation of the great Pixel Prospector Logo, furthermore Beau “teknogames” Blyth for the font colorization, Phil “PFiTec” Facaros for the arrangement of the graphics and additional font consultation by Hannes Pasqualini.

Here we go:
I recommend to start with these 2 videos since they showcase all the games on Pixel Prospector in 10 minutes.
The first shows 2.5 sec clips of 235 Indie Games.
http://www.pixelprospector.com/2010/06/235-free-indie-games-in-10-minutes/

The other shows 3 sec clips of 190 Indie Games (that are currently in development).
(however some were released after the creation of that video)
http://www.pixelprospector.com/indev/2010/06/190-free-indie-games-in-10-minutes/

Now for the user friendliness:
If you watch the Trailer embedded in any site you can click on the button located at the bottom of any game and the Trailer will pause automatically and opens the choosen video of the game in a new tab.
Now you can watch a 2 - 10 minute gameplay clip of the selected game and click afterwards on the link in the description field which directs you to the related page on Pixel Prospector where you can find additonal info and the download link etc.
(If you watch the trailer directly on YouTube this won't work for some reason.
it will open the new game in the same tab...)

However there is one advantage if you watch it directly on YouTube: Timestamps.
Just open the description field and if you click on a timestamp the video will jump immediately to that game)

Moreover:
on pixelprospector.com i did a more structured approach.
for each game there is some essential info:
download, developer,size,year,homepage,dev tool...

media coverage
(i added links to reviews on other sites to each game)

lets play
(i also aded many lets plays from other players)

videos
(each game features a pixelprospector gameplay video and sometimes a link to additional videos from other players)

installation required?
(i thought this is also helpful... that way you see instantly whether or not a game needs to be installed)

->on pixelprospector.com there will be 1 new game a week. (with gameplay video and stuff)

The site is awesome, but holy shit on the videos. Did you play/capture from each game or did you pull some footage from existing videos or what? I can't imagine how long that would take. The result is awesome though, so thanks for it :D

With the links at the bottom it's just the perfect format to introduce shloads of games.

well...every game is playtested.  Wink

for the 235 games video every single video was recorded by myself over the course of about 20 months. (started around october 2008 with recording the first videos)

for the 190 video it wasnt possible to record all videos by myself since for some games isnt even a demo available...therefore i had to take existing footage from the devs to create that trailer.
