Hey there, TIG composers!

The Dead Pixel Society is currently putting its tendrils out looking for talented music/sound dudes or dudettes who would be interested in doing music and sound effects for our upcoming game, You Are The Castle (devlog).

At the moment we're leaning towards chiptune-ish music and sound.  Something that really reverberates with those of us who grew up on the NES and the inffluential games of the time.

We are currently talking to one guy about some possibilities, but we want to make sure we consider as many options as possible and ultimately find what's best for the game.

The job would be paid, and we'll be happy to discuss all those details with interested parties.

If you're interested feel free to contact me!  PM me here, or DM me (@deadpxlsociety) on Twitter, or email me at contact AT thedeadpixelsociety DOT com.

Thanks!   Beer!

Even though there is a competition in between musicians, we have to know our fields. I am a musician but retro is not my style. However, one musician, also present on TIGsource is a very good Retro Composer.

BitRat is known for doing some really awesome chiptunes. Here's a link to a forum post with him in it, but it's not about his 8bit work. Check his sig, it should lead you in the right direction. Grin

Hi all,

Thanks for all the submissions we've received!  There's so much raw talent out there, it's pretty amazing to me.

Anyway, we haven't had any new takers in a day or two, so we'll be reviewing who we've spoken to, and narrowing down some choices.

Thank you all. Smiley

Greetings,

I realize I am probably too late for this but I do retro music (among other things) and have included a link to my portfolio website below:

I am replying in the hope that I will be considered for future use!

Sincerely,
Brandon Day.

Thanks to everyone who applied!  There's some amazing talent out there.

Anyway, we decided we may have jumped the gun on this a bit as we're not quite ready to commit to music just yet as we're still fleshing out levels and what our needs will actually be.  So, I apologize for that, and will be re-contacting everyone in the future to see if you're still available.

Thanks again!

I might as well through my hat into the ring on this one as well, depending on availability at the time. Maybe I'll even have my website up by then. :D

Hi Matt! Here is my website where you can listen some of my works:
http://francescodandrea.bandcamp.com/

The most retro/8bit style thing I have uploaded there, is from the videogame music I did for ticketless:

Good luck with your project and...hope you'll like my works!
