Project Ludiverse is a gigantic pile of thing I am working on. It's metroidvania-based and Flex-based.

It is divided in several parts:
- Map editor
- Tile editor
- Decoration editor
- Character editor
- Enemy editor
- Game player

Of these only the first three are in any degree of functioning right now. The decoration editor can be seen below:

http://www.swfcabin.com/open/1276829139

Press the buttons to add commands to the sequence. the cursor shows where a shape will be placed if you add a Shape command to the sequence.

Loop, Repeat and Chain all work on the next 1, 2 or 3 commands.

and if you hold shift and drag a slider it'll become a quantum slider

http://www.swfcabin.com/open/1277088069 translate, rotate and scale now have a checkbox that'll make them use either local or global coordinates to do their thing

I messed around with the latest one for a bit, not knowing what to do I clicked stalk and shape a few times and then tried to adjust the sliders. Suddenly the game started to slow down and freeze my browser, making it unresponsive.

Couldn't figure out how to make anything interesting.

The tools seem pretty decent, placement can be a bit of an entanglement, particularly on a netbook. The widescreen defintion (1024 x 600 btw) makes it take a bit more effort to navigate between tools and the object placement window. Perhaps an option to move the tools tab to the right side (instead of the top) could knock that down a notch, other than that, it's a pretty decent, basic object editor so far.

For those who don't want to figure it out first:

Click a tool on the left, and it'll be added to the tools bubble above. You take a basic shape (using the shape tool and sliders) and use the sliders on the other tools to manipulate it to different degrees (scaling, rotating, coloring, etc.). One thing off the top of my head I particularly like is how "rotate" has a both a broad-range and a surgically-precise slider; not just one or the other. "Scale" somewhat also doubles as a Z-axis rotation tool (at least graphically), if I understand it right.

This is quite a nifty thing, once you get the feel for it! Any support for uploading/referencing and using one's own images/objects with it?

An example of how this allows for procedural creation - randomly generated flowers:

The decoration editor is not quite panning out, so I've redone the tile editor to something more usable:

The tile editor is very cool.  Where is the game?
