I'm about to order 2 books on drawing comics, and 2 books on animation.

I'm currently looking for some suggestions on which animation books to look at. Help much appreciated.  Beer!

I'm ordering everything from Amazon, but I don't think that limits me very much at all.

Right now I'm looking at:
http://www.amazon.com/Animation-Book-Complete-Filmmaking-Flip-Books/dp/0517886022/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1277085747&sr=1-3
http://www.amazon.com/Animation-Unleashed-Principles-Filmmakers-Developer/dp/1932907491/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1277085747&sr=1-1
http://www.amazon.com/Directing-Story-Professional-Storytelling-Storyboarding/dp/0240810767/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1277085747&sr=1-5
http://www.amazon.com/Character-Animation-Crash-Course-Goldberg/dp/1879505975/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1277085747&sr=1-6
http://www.amazon.com/Animators-Survival-Kit-Revised-Principles-Classical/dp/0571238343/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1277085747&sr=1-7

*gasp*
There're so many options!

Of course, feel free to recommend any book in this list or anything else. Please tell me why, though, obviously!

Again,  Beer!

The Animator's Survival Kit is an excellent book. It's basically the book that always comes up whenever anyone asks for advice on animation books. Like right now!

So you should get it.

Wow, looks like I made a good choice.

For my first set of books(1 and 1) I went ahead and already picked that exact book!

It's kind of rare and expensive, but if you can get a hold of The Illusion of Life: Disney Animation by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, it's a great book for animators. Not as technically useful as the Survival Kit, but it really instilled me with an appreciation, respect and awe for the art and it's history. I think that's important because a true passion for animation can grow from that respect and breathe that much more life into what you do.
