Yeah, for some reason I keep goofing up the detection, I just did a 1x1 hitbox on the center of the cursor and a pixelmask for the different sections of the target...  Still, it's been pretty goofy.

Oh lol it's cause I was updating the movement on the same frame as the input.  Now it's working much better.

Since the cross will be movable with the arrow keys (or wasd I guess) would you guys prefer the "stop" button to be z/x/c/y/space/mouse button or all of the above?

After a while (during the segment where the cursor moves up and down and you control horizontal movement) EVERYTHING was giving me baddies. Even when I matched the color.

You can control the direction by pressing an arrow.

You can change it back and forth though I'm not sure it really helps all that much. Big Laff

You can also stop the cursor with the space, z, x, or c keys.

I thought this was quite fun.  Will the target itself eventually move?

Yeah I'm definitely getting the same error when it gets up to the x-y part, not sure what's causing it but I've probably messed up y-coordinates or something.

The target will definitely move... Wizard

Niiiiiiice  Smiley Looking good man

Check for divisions by zero, that in AS3 return NaN (or something) that's considered a Boolean false Smiley
Maybe it's that.

You should give it a rest on the cross that says "no directional controls" after a couple of plays, it's kind of distracting.

Cheers

It's supposed to go away after 3 rounds, but I guess it'd probably be better to have it pop up as a tooltip or something.  Seemed like it clashed the second I put it in but was too lazy to change it last night haha.

So I finally remembered to play this and it is *~pretty classy~*. I think your game is one of the titles that is inherently funny just by being a game and you've certainly run with it very well :D

At first I played it and didn't understand what to do.

Then I cam back and read all the pages, played again and had a great fun!
What I'm saying is you probably should add instructions before playing, I didn't even notice that the cross changes color, but I noticed that the cat changes color, so I tried to pick the target according to the cat and that didn't work so well...
I also didn't know that you can use the arrows, that adds also to the fun.
