Since everyone has been successfully ignoring this so far, I'm making a desperate attempt at posting it again:

Ah, right, I remembered that, but didn't remember where you posted it. Thanks Mikademus.

Those are pretty legit, but I'm pretty sure there was some sort of transformers game on the Atari 2600. (Or maybe it was C64)
Although, awesome as those might be, the idea isn't to use existing franchises.

I'm not about to stop people from doing it if they want to, but I'd prefer it if they didn't.

It needs to have a fake box art or whatever, but I'm sure that'll be easy to find. And yeah, I believe that was a meme here a while ago.

Never heard of this before, sounds interesting. I think Polybius was a real game. It was in the Simpsons also too. There was a whole conspiracy thing around the game - as in it was a game developed by the government for subliminal experimentation or something. I have still yet to see a Polybius machine.

Signs point to urban myth tbh, but some guy has made his only remake of what he imagined it would be like. Kind of reduces my interest in making it knowing somebody has already done it.

A well-written adventure game about Polybius would be pretty awesome, though.

That is a cool idea.. a quest to find a real Polybius machine. On the way you encounter men in black, greys, a time skipping hippy bus, a dinosaur, and a bear holding a shark.

Yeah I agree that would be cool. The idea reminds me of the book Lucky Wander Boy, a retro game nut who's obsessed over some incredibly bizarre old arcade machine no one else really remembers or cares about. Might have had some basis in the whole Polybius thing.
