Wow, thanks a lot!  I enjoyed your presentation about game mechanics, it derived to a very interesting discussion about ideas and brainstorming.  Very inspiring.  I also found your game about collecting crates awesome (sorry that I don't remember the title).  The turn-based two player game was very good too, it has lots of potential.  I'm definitely looking forward to try it when it's ready.

Oh you made that game.  Damn.  I don't know if I said before (maybe I did) but I loved it ( until I was several levels in and discovered the bullet-time mechanic : P  It was so twitchy until then! ).

Yeah, roster thread would be good for next year.

I'm not used to the calendar times and so on.  I've been recommended to visit Berlin by several friends but missed out again.  The people there just made me want to go more even if I'm only just on the map :D

No it's just that since I was made redundant with 500 others, working for two of the leading engineers in Central London, both Tower Bridge and Farringdon (after 6 years as a structural technician in Essex) on the Olympics and Wharves among other 300 million GBP projects, I have been coding games instead of MaxScript and other bespoke structural (and DNA analysis) software.

That sounds like it would have been an interesting job. : /  

Anyway, I'll bug you when the next real life jam I hear about is coming about (if I remember).  If you're around london/cambridge, maybe you should consider dropping by the cambridge friendship club some tuesday?  There're a couple of other gettogethers planned elsewhere around the uk as well I think.

It was an interesting job, however the very project I worked on has meant there's a reduction of smaller projects going on in London.

Whatever happens, I hope that your situation turns out ok.

I'd definately be up for dropping into the Cambridge Friendship Club.  Thank you for the invite and I hope to meet some of you guys soon
