Well, surprisingly, it doesn't look like we've got 16 people together to fill the two 8-bed rooms at Circus hostel. This means that - if things stayed as they are - six of us would have to sleep with two 'strangers' in the room. Now while that can result in getting to know two interesting people, it might not be cool with everyone.

So another option would be to cancel one of the 8-bed rooms at Circus hostel and use the 6-bed room I reserved at Hostel Meininger. That's a bit cheaper (15€ for the first night, 18 for the other two) but also a bit further away (about 10 minutes to walk).

A breakdown:
Circus - 19 a night, 8 beds, right next to jam location. But two people in the room that aren't jammers.
Meininger - 15 first night, then 18, a longer walk from jam location, only jammers.

I will - and I will just bring my laptop and Tablet along sitting alone on the lower floor - making kickass pixels... but no one shall ever use them - and when I'm done with them I SHALL DELETE THE PSDs AND RESULTING GIFs! isn't that hidious? :B

Out of curiousity, who is staying for extra days? As I know someone else mentioned it way back on this thread... and likewise Terry and I (as I appear to be stalking him, hi!) are also staying longer.

Basically, what are people doing for extra accommodation? It'd be cool to keep it as Tiggy as possible! I'm arriving on the 5th and leaving on the 10th

I'm confused now. And I certainly don't want to be in a 8 bedroom with 6 people. I'd even get a single room if things don't work out.

To make it clear: 14 people want to stay in hostel beds. As it currently looks, it is favoured to use two 8-bed rooms to house these people. That means 6 of them will have to stay with 2 complete strangers. This means you will have to respect their privacy and, to a reasonable extent, their sleeping schedule.

Another option, as I explained in the earlier post, is to cancel one of the two 8-bed rooms and use the 6-bed room at another hostel that I also reserved in advance.

As I currently understand, the first option seems to be preferred. A short discussion on IRC made me realize I may not have communicated the situation and the option's consequences correctly, hence this post.

I personally would very much prefer option #2, but if everyone is fine with potentially being housed with 2 unaffiliated strangers, it'll be option #1.

Out of curiousity, who is staying for extra days?

I'm arriving on the 5th! My current plan is to walk into Circus, say "bed please" "bitte Bett" and hope for the best... but if someone's booking something and it's not too much trouble to include me that'd be cool.

Regarding the main booking, would it be insane to suggest everyone staying in the hostel chip in €8 to buy up the two extra beds? 14 * 8 = €112, which is ALMOST €114 (19 * 2 * 3). I'm not too bothered about staying with two more strangers, but I'm also not too bothered about contributing €8!
