Yeah looks awesome, but my sound cut out after grabbing the first upgrade. I'm running the latest build of Chrome on Win Xp.

it happens when you press a number you don't have. I'm on chrome on XP, and when i first played i got the first number and tried out others but the sound cut out, so I restarted and only pressed the ones i had until i pressed zero right near the end, and the sound cut out again. I think i pressed zero once again to get it back or something.

'Tis a pretty good game, but it doesnt really have a lot to do with the cover.

I had a whale of a time. That’s really great. Though, I also sat on the white end screen for a while.

sound-fixed version should be up now : ) 'Tis a pretty good game, but it doesnt really have a lot to do with the cover.
There's a whale (a whale made of noisy particles), and it makes noises (reasonably granular noises). Let me quote from the guidelines: Use the cart primarily as a source of inspiration. You do not need to tie yourself to any elements of the cart (like title, art style or any descriptions), and are in fact encouraged to take it in an original path.

This is neat, I especially like the sound, and how the visuals get more abstract/colorful near the end.
It might be cool to have some bits where you're swept along by the water and have to figure out multi-note songs to navigate the passageway.

Very nice! Reminded me a fair bit of Dotstream's Formation mode. Very cool, although for some reason the sound didn't work (I assumed there was sound I was missing out on ) really? : S What browser/os are you running? Sound's really low for me; maybe that was the problem?

Wow, that was really cool, actually. Nothing like the box art, though. Edit: Oh, I don't really care if it was nothing like the box art, I think it's really neat the way it is!

I agree that it was cool and while the mechanic seemed very interesting at first, I must admit I expected a lot more. Instead of just stretching vertically, I thought you were going for custom shapes or something.
Oh well, it was nice. Gotta say that atmosphere and sound were pretty cool too.

It kind of felt like the mechanic could have been stretched to some more interesting interaction. Having said that I've no idea how to do so, so maybe it's just good as the attractive mood piece that it is.
I particularly like the way that failed guesses contributed to the 'soundtrack'.
