I'm really tempted to have a go at making this:

It's from a blog by Rob Beschizza, and is a really fascinating read - anyone that has ever felt a certain intangible nostalgia for an old and unheard-of game ought to connect with it:

Have no idea if I'll get round to making it, and I want to try and contact Rob first to see if it's ok and whether he'd be interested in letting me use the art...

Wow, that was a fantastic read; I too feel nostalgia for half-remembered, little-played adventure games. I love the complete lack of spoon-feeding in games of that era -- I think Neuromancer is a good example where you can't get very far without a writing several pages of notes as you go. There's also something charming about the brevity of the textual descriptions; so brief that they become obscure: mystically indecipherable.

I hope you do make this or something similar.

I don't have the time to read all of that (though I plan to later) but is this a real game? Is that title screen art or box art?

I believe we should keep box/case art in this compo, or else it gets a bit too generalized.
