Perpetual bits

Story The world holds many secrets. Every path you traverse loops around to your point of origin, a small network of seemingly infinite channels. Strange artifacts dot the landscape, worn with age, going unnoticed by the creatures that flourish beside them. Along the way you may feel very strange. In my travels I never knew what to call this buzzing in my belly. It made me want to hit things, to love things, to forget things. Perhaps you may be luckier than I, finding that doorway to the other side. A world not unlike our own, bringing with it a new perspectives, and a new set of challenges. Maybe then you'll learn to make sense of the bees that plague your belly. Description Perpetual bits is an explorative puzzle game being made by The Layabouts. Traveling between a large number of small, looping worlds, you'll be tasked with manipulating the strange landscape and finding your way through the network in search of something that isn't exactly made clear. The multiple worlds will carry you through the spectrum of colors, presenting new tasks and mechanics. We'll have have more for you guys soon enough!

You guys seem like a fun group, and I'm sure that'll make a fun game! It's an interesting idea! How will the game look?

We're not going to reveal a ton about actual gameplay until we have an actually functional prototype going, but we already have some things to share!



This is our "hero" so far. Each of these wonderful colors he comes in represent the different looping worlds in some way. The game's art style is a tad abstract and minimalistic... well, sometimes. I don't want to spoil some of the more crazy ideas we have yet, but keep checking this thread for more stuff!

All six of us Layabouts will have a job in this game's creation. Here are our jobs!
