As a student game designer, this is pretty solid advice. I've only read the first one so far, but I find my teachers trying to teach us similar ideas, but asking us to make documents that are much too complex. I enjoy this idea of an extremely simple document (flow) that allows for further elaboration by the team rather than having designers write these overly complicated documents.
