Played this for a while. Quite charming, and I like the writing you have here, though probably not everything is as amusing as you'd hoped, but still nice stuff.

I haven't beaten it, but maybe soon I'll give it a better shot.

I can't play this, unfortunately. I assume it is because my monitor only goes up to a resolution of 1280x800.

Oh, sorry for that but you can change the resolution.
Just open the setup, remove the X2 filter, save and play...
