I keep saying I want to make an actually artistically impressive roguelike with all the limitations (minus the color pallete and default console size of 80x25) that come with it (though I could work with that console size without issues. It may be interesting. The original pallete, though, I'm not using. That thing is murder to the eyes).
I made great strides in optimizing and making the rendering code more stable. There's still some ground to be covered, and I'm still not sure if I'll take this cart. I'm getting more ideas to make a survival-style rogue instead of a lynchian adventure game.
Perhaps I'll take the Ruins cover and make a post-apocalyptic sort of survival game where you have to survive with extremely low provisions inside abandoned ruins destroyed by a great war?
And then you find psychic ghosts.
