Hoverdrive:
Sundeko Meatkiller Special

In the future, nano-manufacturing and advanced AI have become commonplace, and their collective impact has revolutionized transportation.  Personal vehicles piloted by computer hover over the roads, driven along by their efficient aeromotive cover material.  "Wreckers" are human owners who have illegally modified their vehicles for human operation.  They run extralegal jobs for dubious benefactors.  The system cannot catch them.  However, rumors are spreading that the Sundeko Corporation has made automated driver supremacy their No. 1 priority.

Shocked I only have a week!  Facepalm

Don't forget to post the case art in the first post, lest you face the consequences of Melly's disapproval.

But the case art has always been in the first post, even before you posted?...

Uuuuurrgggh, I have next to nothing to show for a week of work.  ConcernedHand Any Key

Here is a thing.  I have actually written a lot of code beyond this, but all of that is in a general state of brokenness and untestedness.

Excuses:
  • Graphic slowdown traced to peculiarities with the Iced Tea (Linux) Java Runtime
  • Spent too much time building generic frameworks

Things I Had Unreasonable Hopes For:
  • Procedurally generated landscapes
  • A finely tuned kb plus mouse steering mechanic
  • A Spyhunter meets F-Zero play style rewarding finesse
  • Escalating AI retaliation based on player naughtiness

Hoverdrive:SMS will probably be in limbo forever.  Hey, but I learned how to use interfaces (the class template, not a GUI).  Computer Science get!
