The games industry, no thanks. It's not worth it...

[Three years later]  You were right, Mattias.  Why didn't I listen!

I just got made redundant from Frontier today after 2.5 years on the project - three days before it was due to be finished.  I guess they really didn't want me at the wrap party!

It was ok.  I learned a lot about the process, which I hope to apply to my new indie career.  I can't say I enjoyed the project I worked on though.

Met some great people, like Dock and Bento Smile, so in that sense it was totally worth it.

Sounds par for the course, you learned a lot, you made contacts, you supported yourself, hopefully you have savings with which you can tackle your new indie career!

Sorry to hear that they dropped you so close to the finish line...  But management can suck!
