Hi

I'm looking for characters with (e)long(ated) necks, but it's kind of tricky to look for that specific attribute via google.
Specifically, I would prefer ones that don't look comical or silly.

Be they cartoony, actual people, 3D, It doesn't matter.

I'm simply wondering if it's feasible to make a character like that.

ty

Edit: The ones I had remembered were General Grievous from Star Wars episode 3 and Jafar from Disney's Aladdin.
With both of these characters though, it seems the designers compensated heavily by giving them big collars/drapes to mask (or maybe emphasize?) their length.
My goal is finding out if not compensating on that can still look non-comical.

Look up Elvaan or Elezen from the online FF series.

Before you edited your post, Jafar popped into my head.  Tongue

Quadrupeds can get away with long necks more easily, and also things that generally are not shaped like humans, such as Ridley in Super Metroid and Metroid Prime. It probably helps to have a narrow neck.

Hehe.

Longneck from Baroque, an obscure roguelike for the PSX that got redone recently for some more modern systems. A creepy-looking and creepy-acting guy, not really cartoony at all.

Edit: Maybe not what you were looking for; he's got a really, really long neck. Freakishly long. I think you just meant longer than usual but otherwise normal.

In hollan there is a story about a gang of 'special' people that help a king with all sorts of things. One of the guys is called 'langnek' (longneck). He's even an icon in one of Hollands biggest theme parks!

Not sure if it counts as a "character", but I just came across this photo:

It's not noticeable because of the costume, but Bayonetta has a long neck.

As a giraffe expert, I must say that's a pretty short neck for a giraffe.

Just Google Fashion Illustration, as elongated necks are kinda common attribute in that style.

replayed Half-life 2: Episode 2, spotted vortigaunts have longer necks as well:

that green creature looks like an alpaca.

the lady in that picture has a remarkable necklength!

More star wars creatures: Kaminoans from Attack of the Clones

The original illustrations for Alice in Wonderland were pretty awesome.
