You can slide onto an operate an elevator while doing so. It makes for some cool moves, and if you sped up the elevator it would be even cooler!

Also, kicking off of ledges is odd looking. (You float for a second.)

Inky: Slides under bars, enemies, attacks Walljumps to infinity Really fast
Pinky: Crashes through all sorts of barriers (bars, doors) Also stomps on enemies (see Clyde) but only by jumping from a high place first Deals damage to large groups of enemies easily Very tough Dexterity: 0
Clyde: Shields himself and others from attacks Stomps on enemies for great damage, but only in open spaces Highest jump in the game!
Blinky: Ranged attack! High clearance level. Doors and force fields will automatically open for Blinky, and unaware enemies will ignore Blinky. Jumping will give you away as a BAD ROBOT Maybe more?
Currently making a list of obstacles for characters to interact with. Enemies will be coming soon: for at least the first part of the game, every enemy you come across will be entirely unaware of what's going on. That means they'll just be standing still or milling about until they first see one of you bad creatures. Blinky is okay until spotted with one of those THINGS (voice is dripping with robotic disgust) Also, rooms will seal themselves behind you. Enemies won't be able to follow, but you won't be able to backtrack.

Progress is picking up. again, the controls are P1WSAD + C jump + V action P2Arrows + K jump + L action ElevatorUp/Down to control while riding safely ButtonDown to press button and open door OH AND DON'T FORGET THE CHARACTER SELECT SCREEN!There is currently no way to reset the game, so just refresh. You can beat the first screen with every combination of characters, though some combinations require a bit more creativity than others. LASTLYThe top exit leads to a far more interesting room than the bottom exit does. Only one combination of characters will find it impossible to enter the top room. ... Just sayin'.

There will be six different enemy bases I'll be working off of, one for every possible character pair. Each enemy will be designed to specifically counter its matching character pair, and be somewhat weak to the other two characters.
| vs. BC : Bounce Crawlers Small robots that bounce around like mad. Inky and Pinky may also have some trouble with them, but Clyde will not be able to defend & Blinky will hit even less often.
vs. BI : Charge Crasher The robots' sub-par answer to Pinky's crashing charge. It has a sudden rush attack and extra armour.
vs. BP : Protector This large robot will move steadily but slowly, holding forward an impenetrable shield! He is vulnerable from above and from behind (and will drop his shield)
vs. CI : Shocker Only effective at short range. This robot will shock anyone who gets too close! Clyde's and Inky's attacks necessitate contact.
vs. CP : Bomb Roller Rolls bombs along the ground. They explode after a timer runs out. Clyde's shield is of no use! Also, Pinky is slow.
vs. IP : Shooter This robot is Blinky's twin. It shoots! Horizontal only.

These were so much fun to design :D Now I just have to get to prototypin' and... shudder... AI.

very cool! I like the game and just spent too much time in the latest demo one thing: maybe try to make their special abilities wrt elevators / door opening more obvious. you are doing a great job at visualizing what kind of attack to expect from a character and how their controls feel. what i mean is: why can only the little guy activate the elevator. or did i totally not get how that works?

Anyone can activate the elevator, but you have to avoid standing at the edges. Safety first!

Also, anyone but Pinky can open doors. Clyde doesn't have hands either, but oh well. Also, why doesn't Blinky's gun work? I don't care if there's no enemies, I still want to shoot!
Pew! Pew!

He just doesn't understand anything that isn't ramming. Elevators are like vertical ramming. They make sense. You touch this little red square and a wall disappears? How does that make sense? That's just silly! He won't have anything to do with silliness of that manner. Pinky is much to sophisticated to be associated with such button pressing riff-raff!

Possibility: 'Bounce Crawlers' will never be placed in levels (or if they are, it will be done sparingly). Rather, whenever an enemy robot is defeated, it will shake for a second or two before exploding into a small swarm of these jumping bastards. They will become a sort of ubiquitous foe, not too difficult to dispatch but damn they are everywhere if you aren't careful. Okay, maybe not everywhere, but fighting against robots will be a bit tougher with this happening. mokesmoe: hahahahahaha

My only complaint is that there's no way to easily control the game if you are by yourself; the buttons are very inconveniently placed for that

These were so much fun to design :D Now I just have to get to prototypin' and... shudder... AI. I love how everything they do is explained in the sprite, like the little rocket boosters and stuff. Very nice this!

Why can you do such beautiful sprites?
In other news, this is looking really really fun.

I have implemented one enemy. It is very fun to fight. Kikaru, :3 and thank you and I swear it will be baconman you will soon have your wish jwaap thank you! I would respond better but, well, working. I just wanted to give you guys a minor update. Only the Guard and Shooter Pewpew have to be implemented now. Still working out some technical collision difficulties regarding things like Clyde's cap shield.

http://www.swfcabin.com/open/1284190160Play it :3 Five levels. Include Four of Six enemies (all are programmed, not all are in levels; balance still needs to be achieved). Controls are still icky.I think the combat is a little bit too crazy, fast, unpredictable when fighting against more than one enemy. However, it's still pretty fun and I really want to play it with another person! Reanalysis of self. The combat is fast, it's messy, but if you work together with your partner I believe it's very possible to get through things properly and cleanly. I'd love some actual multiplayer-played feedback. Limited player health coming soon.

It's pretty interesting so far! I can imagine it'd be a lot better with two people, so I'll see if I can shanghai somebody into playing with me later.
