On August 8th, Zaknafein and I, handed in our 36 hours game jam entry at Bivouac Urbain. Almost a month later, we're making it available for download. Since then, we patched a few synch glitch and included some sort of minimal UI. The Cloud is a Lie, is a co-op multiplayer UDP tower defence meets Tron game. It allows up to 4 players to join forces to keep the blue bombs out of the their home base by building walls and detonating the incessantly coming waves of bombs.

You can download the game for free in the Games directory on XXIIVV. It uses W,A,S & D keys to move, SPACE to detonate bombs, M to mute the music and ESC to close it. If there are no games yet, you will initiate one, otherwise you will join the ongoing area automatically. The longer you survive without a bomb reaching your Home, the more powerful your headset becomes to eventually be able to target 3 bombs at once. We hope you will enjoy the game as much as we did.

You might have guessed that already, but it's a local multiplayer game! Not global. That would be a little crazy.

So if a game exists in your local network (wifi or wired, router or hub/switch (turns out you actually need a router)), it's auto-joined, else it just creates one for other people to join.
