Thanks, guys.  Grin

Here's the menu screen so far.

Please tell me that the lighthouse beam will move in the main menu? Like a masking effect. That'd be sooo cool! (And probably useless. Heh.)

Otherwise I love the style, and I also like the fact that you chose a Gameboy Advance-ish resolution for the game. I bet when you play it in windowed mode it feels like a small window into a strange new world.

Thanks, Ashkin! I will definitely post a demo when it's ready.  Wink

VomitOnLino@ Thanks! Grin Yeah, that was exactly my idea with the masking effect.  It might be a little hard to play on a tiny screen, but it was my original intention. The final game will be fullscreen, but you will have the option to window it.

Okay, so I'm pimping my want add for a Flash programmer.  The previous one bailed on me, for understandable reasons.

I REALLY want to see this game made, so if any of you are interested please check out the ad thread.

Sorry to hear you've lost another programmer... I doubt SOMEONE won't take you up on this! It looks fantastic, Masna. Best of luck!

If I wasn't so busy I would definitely program this for you, Masna. It looks really wonderful
As it is, though, I really haven't got the time

The colour scheme that you've chosen for this game is wonderful!

So I'm learning.  Sad

Happymonster@  Thanks! Unfortunately, school is getting in the way with my pumping out more mockups.  More on the way, though!

Andy@ Thanks! I totally understand.

Eddietree@ Thank you! I put a lot of effort into all of the color choices. Everything either works as a triad (can be connected into a triangle) or a tetrad (can be made into a rectangle) on the color wheel, and nothing is the same shade. I love color theory.  Grin

Yeah, collaborating can be complicated (and awesome). I'm sure you'll find someone if you stick to it.

I'd totally volunteer, but I've got too many projects cooking right now to take on a new one.

I will make a promise, though. If you finish the game, I will code the title screen so that the beam rotates properly and masks the background Grin.

Good news! A programmer has been found. I've teamed up with the impeccable EchoP.
My brother has also agreed to compose a soundtrack (he is majoring is classical guitar and is an amazing composer).

Sparky@ I am keeping you to this.

This looks cool. My game started as a passive platformer, in fact playing Knytt Stories was what made me go "OH, I want to make a game!". 3 Years later and it's evolved into so much more. Your game looks great so far. Can't wait to play it.

Is he falling? This looks a bit confusing when the other pictures have a man standing on the platforms.
