What country do you live in. Is your race indigenous to that country?
Rough overview of me:
1/2 Russian/Eastern European/Carpathian/Ukrainian/Whatever (HUBANS) 1/4 German (KORNS) 1/4 Scottish (BUCHANAN)
But a lot of people always ask me if I'm part-Asian, so who knows what else is in there. Probably Mongolian and maybe Native American.
Oh, and I live in America. Dad is 2nd generation and my mom is at least 3rd? Not sure.

Like most Austrians, I'm a mixture of various Middle- and Eastern European ethnicities. My maternal ancestors are partly from Hungary and my grandma still speaks fluent Hungarian. There's also some English influence from my father's side I think, hence my name.

1st generation american with South American parents- My mother's Chilean Spanish with mostly european/german background and my father is Peruvian Spanish with mostly native South American background. I think the Native South American indians in my past were called Wankas. Thats has far as I know. I wish I could break it down into simple fractions. Oh yea- living in New York!

why no poll? Yeah. It'd be interesting to see the racial makeup of folks on TIGSource.

I felt that race is too complex to be limited to a poll. I'm not sure how many "prime" races there are now, anyways. White, black, asian, hispanic, and middle-eastern come to mind... But then it starts to get fuzzy.

I don't know my genealogy all that well, but if I recall correctly it is something like English, German and some Scottish. I was born and currently live in the United States of America.

I'm almost the prototypical WASP. There's actually a bit of Native American on my father's side of the family. I believe my great-great-grandmother was Cherokee. However, very few of those genes seem to have made it to me. My little brother managed to inherit some of that, the lucky tan bastard. I've got a complexion like a dead fish.
Born and raised in the United States. Due to my family's circumstances, I ended up moving around a lot while I was young. I can't claim to have been raised in any one region. At present, I call the Southwest my home. (sunny AZ)

Both my parents are Scottish, but I've lived in England all my life. Plus I had haggis for dinner today. How cool am I?

1/4 Italian (maternal grandfather is 2nd generation Italian-American, as I recall), and 3/4 ...other stuff. I know there's some British in there somewhere -- might be mostly British for all I know -- and a tiny bit of Native American, but I don't know beyond that.
Born in Texas, lived all over the States, and now back in Texas.

the farthest I could track my dad's side of the family was British and my mom's side of the family is mostly British except for her mother whose family lived in Morocco. But their last name was Gaelic...
typical white European American I guess.

Mostly black, some Cherokee, some Blackfoot, a little bit of a lot of things. I think there was a Chinese guy somewhere in the mix. American-only for many generations afaik - great or great great grandparents were likely slaves and/or sharecroppers.
I've always found it kind of strange that some people have only one racial lineage, especially Europeans what with how close and small their countries are and stuff compared to like India or China or something - I mean there's got to be some cross-pollination somewhere, right? Guess not, I dunno.

I thought that, too, but if you compare human beings 100 years ago with those of today, there was a lot less interest in diversification. English wasn't always the universal language and if you were German and you saw an attractive French woman, but neither of you could speak the other's language, how could any sort of relationship be possible?
