Here's everything I can think of that needs to be done for a Winnitron release of Indie Brawl:

-Incomplete characters, stages and items removed. (I'll do this)
-All characters need guarding sprites.
-Lyle, some stages and most items need placeholder sound effects.
-In-game help screen. (I'll do this, too)
-Revised menu and UI (it will be 2-player only) (I'll do this as well)

There are a few other changes I'd like to see added before this release, but they aren't critical:

-Give the player the ability to set their handicap
-Add a few of the mostly-complete stages and items
-Update a few characters (mainly Naija and Golden Knight)
-Make character hitboxes more accurate (maybe, if there's time)
-Add more game modes

Right. Well, we've got about a month. I need to take a break on my current project, so I'd probably be able to help with some spritework... I'd like to think I've gotten a bit better since I started back nearly a year ago.

For sound effects, any decent free sounds you find or make will do for now.

Needed Sounds:
Earthquake/Rumble (before Death Worm appears)
Eruption (when Death Worm leaves the ground)
Bomb Whistle (while bombs are falling in Death Worm stage)
Small Burst (for when Bomb blocks are hit on Bonesaw stage)

I'm pretty clueless about permissions and licensing so are creative commons licensed sfx fair game? There are some promising sounding CC samples on a site I could start poking through.

EDIT: Some examples, just in case.

2 possible buildup sfx for the deathworm:
by pushtobreak
by hans

And a basic bomb-whistle

I believe it depends on the CC license. Stuff from FreeSound is always okay.
