Nice nice nice But you should use something else instead of <3's for life... like rightside-up and upside-down Us that connect into a chain-link, and when you get hit, a link falls off. Or something like that.

i agree with ChevyRay, lose the hearts, they don't really go with the style of the whole thing. but anyway, . please make yus bird a recurring character through the whole game, not just a one-time character who guides you through tutorials or some crap like that. what is the game mechanic supposed to be? do you fight, do you shoot people, do you avoid everything like in knytt?? please inform. i loves it

Cheerios, ptoing! Wonderful to see U-Head chugging along. Slowly but surely. Gonna have to agree on the NES palette. It seems... sharper? Less organic? More distinct? More eye-catching, I guess. I'd say stick with it. Oh yes, and

Thanks everybody for the support. I appreciate it Thing about the NES palette is it is rather... suboptimal. It is VERY saturated, does not have any good darks and there are some colours which are useless and others ranges which are not really represented. Small comparison, Old, NES, New. The NES one is rather eyeburn in this case. About the hearts, I might test around with it a bit. I quite like them myself and think they fit. It's not like U-Head is losing little Us or something when he gets hit. And he has a heart too ;3; We'll see :D

I'm.. im with them on this also.. the NES pallette version is amazing, that you were even able to get it close to your original version with it..
i like it best.. i think.
but all of them are just as great!

definitely not with the others in feeling the NES in that last one. It's, as mentioned, a kick in the face. With two spikes on the sole exactly where one's eyes are. I like the first better though. I like that contrast between the green distant-bg and the nice purplish foreground. Though I must give this to the NES one, the yellow/orange blocks look better than the other versions of the yellow/orange blocks in the other versions.

I agree with Xion. If ptoing would post the NES mockup in a critique-forum and wouldn't tell that it's using the NES palette, I can imagine that somebody probably would do a edit which looks like the first one of the three mockups. Since the mockup does look like a game-maze (tetris like) I'd definitely go with the first version, because the third has too serious/realistic colors which doesn't fit the playful forms of tiles, imho.

Time for some Necromancy.
Is... this still happening? At all? It has always looked delicious, and after seeing Skullboy getting a bumpitty, I thought I'd request a status update.
All ze best.

U-Head is something I for sure do want to make at some point. Adam does not have that much time to code atm, toasties API thing is bugged to fuck and he is working on the 3D one, so yeh.
If you are a really good coder who wants to help me make this (be warned, I am a perfectionist poohead), pm me. If this happens I will commence making proper work on this when I have free time.

Glad to hear this isn't abandoned. Have you considered trying Game Maker or Construct?
