so I've been fiddling around with this for the last couple days, since somebody suggested minigames as a compo idea:

I'm thinking of adding a 4th level where you defend a train from bandits.
I dunno, does any body have any fun with it so far, and if so any suggestions for more stage-things?
note you have to ride the bull for 10 seconds to advance.

*Note: there is no Super CattlePuncher Extreme 1.

What is level 1-3? This doesn't seem to work at all.

I can sort of make a hat? stay inside of a fence while a bull shakes around that I'm clearly not riding???

What the hell is going on?

Really, it isn't clear what to do, and when you understand it, it's hard. Could you improve the learning curve?

As it stands, this is fairly poor, but there is a nugget of an idea in there...

If the bull were pinned to the player sprite (so it was clear that you are supposed to be 'riding' it..) and there were some indications of which way the bull is trying to 'pull' you, this would make a LOT more sense.

As well, once the player hits the edge, you could stop the bull and have the player fly off. That would be all you need for the player to go, "A ha, I shouldn't fall off the bull."

You may need to tighten up the controls too. It feels really loose and unpredictable, but if this is supposed to be the 'bull' influencing your motion, then simply showing which direction it's going in would help a lot...
