Hello again! I took a break and started working on it again about a week ago. Sorry, this isn't a real preview demo, though it's got a very early part of the game you can play (until you get into an unfinished cutscene and sit around forever) I start working on more of the Player's abilities; The stomp was the first one. The one in the bottom screenshot is the Super Jump, and it's performed by holding down the Walk button (shift). Download- Part of the game's intro is available. A cutscene isn't finished yet though, so it sort of just stops in the middle of it...
- You can perform a Super Jump by holding down the Shift button and releasing it when Ralph finishes charging up.
- There's a ladder!

Gya... The Story Mode is soo.... Elina is cute. Edit: Only qualm is the ladder. Once you climb it you should fall down again. It's worse than Castlevania's stairs... Edit 2: Nice touch on the plant enemy.

Edit 2: Nice touch on the plant enemy. You mean shouldn't, right? I think that's just a matter of level design. I'd just have to place a jump-thru platform at spot, I think. I started making a more presentable title screen.

I remember seeing this on FA a while ago. Glad to see you're still working on it.

I found the doorbell, and kept walking to the right. Then I fell and died...

I know I've commented before, but... This game. Is so smooth. So solid. Graphics, dialogue, room transitions, movement... Man. Can't wait to see more of the main game. It was kinda confusing getting items (the chocolate, for example) without actually seeing what happened to it. That is, I expected to see the item displayed in the items screen, but that screen never really changes. I found the doorbell, and kept walking to the right. Then I fell and died...
This happened to me too. Also, when I returned the doorbell and had the conversation with the policeman and detective, the game locked up. MartyMan says that the demo ends in the middle of a cutscene; it isn't really locking up, per se.

Whoops! Forgot a little bit of collision there. Fixed that up. EDIT: It was kinda confusing getting items (the chocolate, for example) without actually seeing what happened to it. That is, I expected to see the item displayed in the items screen, but that screen never really changes.
Ah, you can change switch to the inventory using the A and S buttons- and you reminded me to put little indicators on the side of the screen.

I...I-I....DAWWWWWWWWW'D Also I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but it's something to bring up: -Maybe he's aware and maybe he isn't, but the sound's mostly mono. The jump sound effect is fine, but things like music, sword swings, and gem pickup noise only come out of the left speaker. When only listening with speakers it's probably not a big deal, but since I wear headphones it's really noticable for me.

sound problem
That's VERY odd. The sound is works just fine for me, in both headphones. I wear a headset too. Very odd... This is starting to come out very nicely. <- My imaginary game studio!

This is a BEAUTIFUL project. Everything is so well-done and awesome for freeware. I have to say, you've really done exceptionally with everything in it so far.

The gun in debug mode is very nice, feels very powerful and punchy.

real art looks like the mona lisa or a halo poster and is about being old or having your wife die and sometimes the level goes in reverse

Thanks! I'm proud of it. I for one can't wait to finish these intro cutscenes.

I have to add, the music at the beginning of adventure mode is simply lovely. You must upload the game's soundtrack when you're finished.

I think I might have spotted a glitch at the start of the intro sequence: You know the cars passing by? Well, the street grates seem to be on the foreground more than on the background, since the cars just pass right through them!
