Great graphics, what software are u using?

Thanks. I'm using Photoshop CS3 for the backgrounds and Flash CS4 for everything else.

Posting my coding schedule for this week so I can try to stick to it.

by monday night: get waves of enemies working
by tuesday night: get helicopter and enemy with a spinning gun bullet patterns working

Also next week add new animations in and make enemies flash.  Possibly powerups also.

The final boss needs to be a big mass of guns so thick that you can't tell what aircraft is inside.

The final boss needs to be a big mass of guns so thick that you can't tell what aircraft is inside.

This is shockingly close to what I had in mind.

Powerups!

1. Gives you 2 bullets instead of one. 2. Gives you 4 bullets and some spread instead of 2. 3. Makes bullets bigger.
4. Gives you a homing missile. 5. Gives you 2 homing missiles. 6. Makes missiles more accurate.



Granted, these are just some that I came up with just now. There'll be more in the finished game!

Off to bed now. Will post more stuff tomorrow or Tuesday.

Waves of enemies working so now enemies come in nice orderly patterns made by peter instead of just one by one.

Enemies collide with player now.

Copters shoot out in 4 directions now.

Players health goes down when hit by bullet/enemy.

Tonight
maybe cool spiral shooting
maybe some power ups

Holy shit, that would be awesome.

Anyway, just letting you know that this hasn't been abandoned. We're still working on getting all of the gameplay elements in, not making levels or anything like that, so nothing too fun to show. I've mostly been animating enemy patterns, but here's a preview of a boss I've been working on too:

From a programming standpoint We've got done...

Jetpack enemy
Helicopter enemy
gunship enemy
minigun enemy

still to do is

hovercraft
blimp
bosses

scrolling bg

We've also got a wave generator done and collision detection and all that jazz.

Powerups are all impelemented
Player missles are implemented

Enemy missles are not yet implemented but just a slight mod of the players missles
