Hereby I announce

THE MINI MINI FORUM GAME COMPO-ISH THINGY

I wanted this to serve as lack of currently running compo substitution. I am a bit out of time as well (to hang out in the forums / irc, or make games) so this might be an opporturnity to make anything.

The goal is to make a tiny (popovkast-ish) game in short period of time and give a theme to the next guy, so basically it goes like this:

1. You can only post, if you post a game
2. You need to comprise theme given by previous poster (who also posted a game)
3. You post a theme for the next poster to comprise into his game.

Ok, this isn't as clear as I wanted it to be, so let me picture it given an example:

Post #2 - [link to game about cats] Theme: dogs
Post #3 - [link to game about dogs] Theme: armadillos

and so on...
And IF someone before posted a game on previous topic, you still post your game, and next one will have 2 themes, so...

Post #2 - [cats game] Theme: dogs
Post #3 - [cats game] Theme: armadillos
Post #4 - [dogs and armadillos game] Theme: elephants
Post #5 - [elephants game] Theme: kangaroos

So, since everything is perfectly clear, I say GO!

For starting theme, let's choooooooooooose......

FOOD

I wanted to use some randomness generator for the theme, but I failed to find one... whatever... let's just get this going (I hope someone will participate)...

I'll take part as soon as someone gets the first one done.

What is the time limit for each theme?

As soon as the first game is posted.

I'm trying to whip up something quick for the first theme, but I can't think of anything simple and I don't want to make something complicated. I'll keep thinking it over.

Say i start making a game for the "food" topic and i spend a fair bit of time on it, but it's not ready to release yet and then someone releases their game. My effort is in vain as releasing it at that point would mess up the competition.

I think it would be better if people could "grab" topics, for example if someone wanted to make a game for the food topic they'd be like "Food is MINE". Then everyone would have to wait til they completed their game.

Just my two cents haha.  Hand Thumbs Up Left Smiley

I think you should have to start a game using the current latest topic (or even an earlier topic with no games?), but if you don't finish it before the next topic is announced you can still submit it. More casual that way.

In fact, I say screw the rules, let's make games!
