Whew, I'm glad to see you're alive, Derek! I had seen neither hide nor hair of you recently!

May I ask for a "?" icon? I don't exactly know where I'm going with my game and maybe others might find themselves in the same situation (it's not very important to me, but it would be informative to readers).

Hey, look. A progress bar change! I don't know if the red bar is the best of ideas, but at least it's not as distracting as it was before.

Ew, these look horrid. Derek, please change them back, or rework these ones. Do you want me to make some sweet ones for you? These ones make me think your cat's salmon-colored puke was your inspiration for these

I prefer the new ones as well. The other ones were way too saturated and had too much contrast. These new ones are much more gentle on the eyes.

But there's no longer a distinction between 10% complete and 90% complete in terms of color; it all just kind of blurs together At least make the high end more saturated or brighter or something to indicate progress. I know most of these people probably don't have a 90% complete WIP but I do and I enjoy seeing it stand out!

I was thinking you should also include an "abandoned" one, but that might be kinda depressing...

No one is allowed to abandon a game on the TIGForums! It's against the rules laid down by Martha herself.

I like them myself. I thought the old ones contrasted with the default forum theme too much. These ones are nice and gentle on the eyes.

I think a pastel blue or orange would fit better with the theme than salmon.

Once again, contrast issue. The background cannot be dark because then less finished projects attract more attention. Make the background white.

I don't agree Core Xii. I find the colour bars attract more attention than the contrast of the white/near black background, but maybe that's just me.

There are factors other than brightness that bring attention to an object. In fact, in your avatar, my eyes are drawn to the red hair more than the black clothes. The black in the progress bars is easily identified as the background, while the bars are clearly the foreground. The mind tends to pays less attention to a background than it does a foreground. However, more importantly, the bars stand out more because they are a changing entity, while the background is static. If 0% had a black background while 90% had a white background, then yes, it would stand out more. But because they all use the same black background, it plays an insignificant role in contrasting the different progress levels.
