Because the technical name for a flock of crows is a "Murder" (I LIKE PUN TITLES OK.)
Here's what it looks like right now:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IL_QJFvgdA#t=0m40sSo this is a game... thing... I made for pyweek. It's not really quite a game yet, more like, uh, a crow simulator. It's pretty fun to play with, but I couldn't actually figure out how to make it into a game so I shelved it for a while. Anyway, I thought I'd revisit it and turn it into... something, since the core mechanic seems promising.
I think in terms of design it needs a few things:
- Some sort of risk/reward mechanic
- More verbs. Like right now all the crows can do is murder and crash into things. Maybe they could carry things? Maybe they could murder some, and rescue others?
- Some sort of victory and loss conditions
There are a few aspects I want to keep from it's current incarnation though...
- I like the fast pace and comical violence.
- I like the weird movement animations
I think some other things on the todo list:
- Make not ugly
- Some sort of level editor
