Incidentally, I finally got XNA working and was able to play the XNA entries into the contest. I literally had to install Visual Studio C# 2005, the updates, and the XNA Game Studio pack from Microsoft's site to get it to work! Worth a try for anyone else who's having trouble!

Great work, everyone! I'm really looking forward to playing all the games. Playing them after I get a replacement computer for the one that died on me, that is.

Awesome, thanks a bunch, guys. You made my life a lot easier, once again. I got the first page of entries (1/3rd!) done, and I'm aiming to get the rest done tomorrow. Voting should start shortly afterwards. You'll get up to 6 votes each, since there are 61(!!!) entries. Voting will go on for about 3 weeks, I think, since there are so many games to play.

That was a great compo. At the beggining I wasn't sure about the concept of PGC, but seing al these entries proved me wrong. There are some very good uses of the concept here, and it gave me a few ideas. It also proved that PGC is great and it is definintely underused in videogames. Maybe there should be another PGC compo in the distant future.

Is it possible to hide the temporary vote results? It could influence the vote. People could be tempted to just check the more popular games.

Whoops, I didn't mean for people to start voting. I thought locking the thread would prevent that but I GUESS NOT. Anyway, I'm going to open it up for reals in a few minutes.

Derek, you shouldn't undo the polls now though, in my opinion. Some people won't remember/bother to come back here and vote a second time. And only maybe a dozen people saw the temporary results, and soon so many votes will be thrown that nobody will have any idea who's in the lead anymore.
Oh, and I'll be organizing the first secondary awards today. I'll start with Best Use of Procedural Generation.
Anyone against? Comments?

No, don't worry, I'm not undoing anything! Not a big deal. Anyway, the poll is unlocked/stickied now and it's linked on the front page, too! Voting has officially begun. HAVE AT YOU.

Also, I'd like to mention that Kyle Pulver texted me last night telling me to "FIX TEH PGC POLL :O" and I wrote back "NO." Kyle, I apologize - I didn't know what the fuck you were talking about. But then again, you should have explained it to me you bastard LOL!
