Do ZGameEditor games count? They're made procedurally to keep filesize down Tongue

Some people have already started making comp games with it I think, so I'd hazard a guess of: yes! Smiley

Just make sure your game emphasizes procedural content generation (different stuff for the player every time, or if he inputs different seeds) and all will be good.

Yeah, I'm probably not going to be making a game, but still. I just wanted to know.

Yay, a new contest!  but why does it still say "Currently running: Video game name generator competition" under the Competitions forum title on the Tigsource main forum page?

Perhaps it would be nice to change the compo pic on the main site a bit and add the "JOIN" command.  Smiley

I might be joining this compo later, already brewing an idea!

I'm in. The game might be an urban survival Zombie shooter set in a procedurally generated city. If the planning shows too many problems I will try somehting less ambitious though.

Another Manbaby saying "I'm in".

I wanted to wait until I got some significant coding done until I said "I'm in".  I think I just crossed the threshold where I can be pretty sure that I will finish.

I'm doing a shooter (lame, I know).

Aw. If I had time to be in, I would probably try to make a "Tank Wars" or "Scorched Earth" style game in Flash, with procedurally generated terrain and tank locations.

But... Busybusybusy with two other animation competitions. :\

Coincidentally, PaulMorel was a manbaby just 4 posts ago.

I was a manbaby over 1000 posts ago.

Seriously, I spend too much time in this place. I have more posts than most people that were here before I was.

Might be in, although I'm drowning in work right now. Got a half-decent idea, which is hopefully not too ambitious to save for a week before the deadline. Don't want to give away the concept just yet, but it'll be called Apophenia. I'll make an actual post for it if I ever start working.

Edit: To whoever said you can't do procedural content in MMF2... you're dead wrong. Got a nice framework going that hashes a player-given keyword into a seed for its random number generator, which I'm currently using to create a random player shape, size, and movement.

Sorry, I meant to say "I'm another manbaby saying that I'm in".  I wasn't picking on manbabies, I was pointing out my own manbaby stylings.

I see a lot of people already posting their entries.  The due date is June 2nd right?  I think that I'm going to use all that time, if I can.
