most indie games are short and free, so there's not much reason for not playing a lot of them; i try to pay a new one every day (although sometimes don't); perhaps my new year's resolution will be to play and provide feedback to a new indie game every day

I haven't played all the games I wanted to, and I couldn't come up with a whole list of 10 games, but here is my list in order of playing:
Gish
Super Crate Box
Revange of the Titans
Minecraft
Oh man, turns out I'm not playing games that much recently.
Actually I got bored with Gish halfway through. The remaining three games are just golden, but
I guess you all already know this.

the wiiware version of smb has been dropped so unless they do a retail version you're going to be waiting for a pretty long time  also pc version has level editor coming so just get that ! ! ! also yeah vvvvvv had really awesome music but as a Game and not a Soundtrack SMB was definitely better imnsho Yeah, I just read somewhere it's coming late this (2011) year. I guess I will need to buy proper PC or XBOX. |

Even thought Minecraft hasn't been 'released', I bought it this year and have been enjoying it endlessly  Ninja Senki was awesome, and I've been meaning to try out VVVVV, but haven't yet.. |

I'm late to the party on this, but there's one game I haven't seen mentioned that I believe is one of the best indie games of 2010: The Room Tribute http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/547307The gameplay is not strong, so people looking for something super fun shouldn't play this, but I found it very entertaining. I played the game before watching the movie and I didn't believe such things were actually lines in a real movie. A must play for anyone who liked the movie, and I recommend it to anyone who likes story driven games. |
