Title: Monkey Labour
Genre: action, retro, game
Type: Universal app (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch; iOS v3.2+, Game Center support for iOS 4.1+)
Webpage: http://dawnofplay.com/monkeylabour/
Developer: http://dawnofplay.com

I would like to present to you a new iPhone/iPad game that we have just published on the App Store. The game is an 1980s handheld game reminiscence - a genre that has up until now been neglected on modern mobile devices. A lot of effort was invested into making the game look authentic both in gameplay as well as in appearance which can be seen on the game's homepage: http://dawnofplay.com/monkeylabour/

The game features simple gameplay but is hard to master - using just two control buttons, the player has to stoke an oven with lumber while his angry monkey boss throws obstacles his way. Fortunately, the creaky factory plumbing does provide some chance for retaliation as an overheating oven will send plumes of fire from the ceiling, enabling the player to scorch the monkey for extra points.. though risking the monkey's rage if it manages to evade the flames! We encourage players to score at least 1000 points in order to experience the game's full potential, though this is by no means the final target - the game gets increasingly faster and with Game Center integration, the player's ultimate goal is to set impressive high scores and earn achievements.

This release is the first of many quality releases for Dawn Of Play. Our goal is to go beyond the casual cutesy catch-all trend that seems to be dominating the mobile landscape and provide a gaming experience tailored to each product's potential customers. Monkey Labour is a good example of this - anyone who as an 80s kid has played handheld games will recognize the game type and decide whether they want the game or not.

Features at a glance:
- Universal app
- Perfect difficulty curve
- Impressive HD graphics (Retina support)
- Stunning AI: 10 unique monkey behaviours
- 3D engine with detailed 3D model of the handheld device
- Authentic 1980s look & feel including retro sound and graphics
- Game Center integration - achievements and leaderboards
