I made a simple little Flash game a while go to test the waters of the Flash market: http://www.oceanbreezegames.com/index.php?PAGE=onlinegame&g=Up&id=32

Obviously, this isn't terribly big or anything special for a Flash game, but I was told that it's "begging to be a mobile game."

I've been playing with XNA 4 for a game that I'm collaborating on right now, and I just realized that my new computer can actually handle the tools needed for mobile development. Does anyone here have any experience with the mobile market? Or maybe you just play a lot of mobile games? What do you think TIGForums: would porting this game be worth my time?

sweet little game Smiley
i would try to port it to iphone or android. probably it won't sell (i think you need some more long-term-motiviation for that) but you could learn a lot of stuff.

The biggest issue I'm seeing is the way in which the game is controlled. Touch-screen devices are more suited for mouse-click controls than directional buttons. If I were you, I would work on figuring out a way to enable mouse control for the game first, and then porting it over.

Seems like you should be able to just touch/click on the adjacent tile to move to. That can become a problem when tiles get obscured, though...
