How do I add depth to this bus? I want to keep the same viewpoint, however.  Huh?

The only thing this reminded me of is Warhammer 40K and "Fer tha Emprah!" chanting.

Curved front or top, maybe a popup thing on the top (like they often have as fire escapes), perspective interior through the windows, all sorts of stuff.

It might work better if you used a single color with varying levels of brightness. Afterall, I wouldn't be surprised if there are people with epilepsy browsing this forum.

You should look at Kevin's devlog (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=24370.0) and check out his game videos cause his character is similar in proportions and will help you see how to create a simple walk cycle.
Will do, thanks.

dat banding
Still looks awesome though, I like the colors in the sky.

Also made a character, looking for some help animating a walk cycle (3px legs aren't a lot to work with).

Some help.

I dont know how it actually looks animated just assuming it moves, I just made this in msPaint.
The size isn't the hard part, it's more the silhouette coloured sprite.
Try not to use my frames as best you can, but at this size it's kind of unavoidable. ^^;
The 5th sprite looks a bit silly.
I probably wouldn't have the idle frame in the animation, would just loop the other 6.

Cool, thanks.  It looks decent animated, I'll try to refine it a bit and post my results.

I haven't pixeled in a while and felt I needed to brush up.

Not too happy with the disparity between the head and the body, but meh.

i wish i had something interesting to tell here, but it's just prosaically simple google images harvesting, clamped into an 8-colour palette to make it look more coherent.

Is it kosher to post links to DeviantArt galleries or should I just rehost the pictures and link them here?
