seriously great layout design here. Is that a hand in the foreground? I was going to suggest some huge body parts in the foreground. I'd suggest making it bigger since it's pretty similar to the rock on the left side. I think some bigger foreground elements could really help the comp. Also the pillar with all the detail on the right could be a lot fatter compared to the size of the light brown one in the background [right now they are the same size but with perspective the middle ground should be much bigger]. hope that all makes sense.

also, some WIP

I admire your patience, it's the subtlety and attention to detail that separate you from pixel art mortals. This one didn't even look like pixel art at first glance.

I think because I have no real purpose to create this except for myself to accomplish a personal achievement. Withdrawing all thoughts that most care for, substancial...

For I do not care about money or other stuff, even though if it could bring me further in some way, but not mine.

Patience for everything, not forcefully doing things :D...freedom

Thats why I always wonder when someone asks me "don't you want to sell prints or anything" and then I reply that they should just take it and have it printed, as long as its not used for commercial purpose with profit, I'm fine with that ^^...

Here's an early logo I did for Fresh Aces; It's obviously also my avatar at the moment.  Cheesy

I like doing these.

You should fix these things. Maybe try overlapping them?

it seems like you're not paying any attention to how the shadows should fall - it seems rather arbitrary, their placement. Also the first one now has tangents that further confuse the depth of things.

Also, this might not affect a lot of people, but the fact that the figure isn't interlocking / doesn't form an actual knot sticks out to me like a sore thumb

I don't get it. Should it form a knot? How would that work?
EDIT: Aaaaahhh, that explains it. I forgot the 'over and under' rule. TIME TO MAKE SOME NEW ONES.

Some quick assets put together even quicker. I'll be doing "proper" mockups soon with these low-res styled graphics.  Smiley

Very inspiring, thank you!
Heh, just saw this...

Ironically these are inspired from you. I haven't done low-res in so long until I saw your stuff. So, thank you!

Hey, @Elk! Can you put up your palette, so I can see how you use your colors and shades? That would be awesome. Great work so far, by the way.  Wink
