My friend requested me to draw Assassin's Creed for him. I'm just sharing it here.

Hey guy.s Making some faces to be on a Stone wall in my game. Wondering what you think works best. so you think the shape could change at all? Lot of charm in them pots, I like 3 the best. Might be better with less contrast on the face instead of using straight black if they're just scenery - unless the faces are animated, in which case the black would make them stand out a bit more. Little edit: Also, last one is a nice moonman pot @Solarlune, I'm a sucker for light, dem pixels are niiiiiiiiice

PJ challenge, 2 hours tonight. Tried to push the lighting a bit, not sure how well it came out with 13 colours, haha. The purple needed to make the light look a little warmer robbed me of my light green >_>

Have a look at KAG2d.com then, its where most of my pixel efforts have gone for the past 540 days or so. Glad you like it.
Dont just read pixel art tutorials to improve though, consider general art tutorials and a hell of a lot of studies. Pixel tutorials are few and far between, and mostly suck. While reading a bit of pixel theory on pixelation can help, doing teaches you a lot more than thinking about doing.

gonna second this because the thing no one seems to realize about the most vocal pixel artists out there is that they're pretty much all awful tutorials are usually written by these guys and do nothing other than explain their terrible techniques for making terrible pixel art

What do you guys think of my updated character? He will most likely be close the the resolution he is right here: The character is looking cool, but i think the shading is making it look a bit flat, try to keep in mind the whole 3d shape of the object when shading But yeah im rubbish at explaining things so i did a very quick edit to try and show what i mean Im not great myself but i hope it helps

Very nice. You wouldn't happen to be working on a zombie game at the moment, would you?

EDIT: I've realized since this pic was taken that the sun is in front of the background, haha. I've fixed it since then. There seems to be a second, much brighter sun off to the left as well. Thus the right side shadows on the pillars, blocks and tree...

Yeah, I'm aware of that, but I didn't want to darken absolutely everything and wanted to keep some color. If the lighting were 100% consistent, then you wouldn't really be able to see the tree, blocks, or player, as they would all be pretty dark (if it all were lit like the foreground pillar). The background pillar's now like the foreground one, though. Just a bit tinted.
