More progress.. I think the two original ones are very nice as well. Different styles, but really good. Your previous version of the tree you've finished, for example, looks nice as a less detailed pixel art style.

More progress.. Nice! Their coming along Thank you.. now its almost done.... Although the style has completely changed (I expressed my concerns about this in the pixelation(?(Might have been pixeljoint)) thread) I really like the new tress! Lovely pixelling: Give a tutorial? :3 Its from pixelation.. Im not sure about tutorials because my english sucks pretty well! I can only make progress things.. Here is the final version.. This is only practise i want to make even better trees.. ...dang, if that's practice, I REALLY want to see what your best work is. Cause even now, it puts me and a lot of other pixel artists to shame. Nice work!

That is some damn fine foliage. I caught the pixel bug earlier on today, here is the resulting programmer art: Terrible dithered gif: (it gets the point across )

That's quite a fine start, it's a good decision to tackle animation early on.

Today's project, a little gift back to the community, a tutorial video, how I set up GIMP for pixel art. I didn't find any fast paced tips & tricks about all the important things you need to customize, so I just made my own with everything I learned about pixelling with this software. See it on my tumblr or .

@beetleking the trunk on that tree seems to come forward with the foliage, making it look flatter than it should be. I think it's a color issue, try cooler colors - or maybe it's a perspective issue  otherwise foliage is very nice nice

The colors are interesting, but the jump pose feels off in tone. It's too much of a caricature and betrays his lax demeanor.

youre completely right, platformers are boring enough as it is... his jumping sprite should just be him in some kind of rocket sedan w/ driver
