Neckbeard knight? His shield should have "not your" emblazoned upon it.
Don't see how it's related.

I think it doesn't make much sense that the one thin line seems to cast a shadow going downwards-left, but the rest of the tree seems to be straight down. I'd personally prefer the skewed shadow, but it's the inconsistency that irks me more than anything.
Nice colors. Grass could be a bit greener, but I guess it puts your focus on the pink.

Tried to make an idle animation sort of thing for this character. Does the bouncy hair look okay?

^ Bouncy hair looks pretty nice. Nice work on that. Although, the bobbing up and down doesn't really work as well. Adding more motion to the other parts and limbs, animating and bobbing up and down the "knees", and slowing the animation down overall would help, I think.
I'm not a fan of the "single pixel feet" look either, but that's a personal thing more-so than anything else, so it's cool.

working on some character animation cycles for class, i figured a 3/4 view might give it more depth but i'm not sure if i executed it properly hm

Looks more like a side-scrolling beat-em-up kind of view; you should be able to see more of the top of the character's head and less of their side. But they're pretty good cycles, yeah. And yeah, I'm getting those same artifacts for the walk animation.
@XN - I agree with Rat's timing suggestion, as well.

@vobster it looks really nice and even if I were to agree with SolarLune that it looks like a beatemup I still would leave it as it is. I'd make a mockup with moving background to see if it looks goofy or not. Probably doesn't.

I'm happy you like them! They might turn into a game, but at the moment they are just collectible cards. I wanted a side project that wasn't locked to any other franchise and I could hold in my hands. I like the idea of creating a world through 'source' material rather than traditional narrative. Once I have enough characters drawn I'm going to write bios for the reverse sides and get them printed.
