Tanks are relaxing to draw, until you have to start rotating them in perspective  Big Laff

Haven't posted here for quite a while. Have been super busy with work on Tower.

@Batowski: might be the 16x16/tile resolution and using more colors than for 8bit NES like styles.

Some animation test. It feels like I've missed one hitstop frame somewhere, but I have no idea how to fix it. Maybe someone can point out what is off here.

really like the secoundary motion of the hair and skirt, also nice lite stomp with the foot at the end, a nice note to finish on Smiley
I however feel like she is quite stiff, as if she has a board strapped to her back and can't spin her hips and shoulders separately.
also the initial punch lacks umph because she doesn't have any strong anticipation frames before it.

I change a few frames before the first punch and made her put more weight into it. also made the kick follow trough a bit more.

if you look at mine the first punch still looks weak as if its just hitting air. that could be solved by adding an additional frame after hit, kinda like she hit a wall and the wall broke allowing her to keep moving through it, or maybe fewer frames in the Punch/fist moving a further distance.

there is a lot you can do to make it feel more powerful, however a lot of the time the frames before the attack sell the impact of it more that the actual impact does. hope that helps at least a little Smiley

Too tired to mock up a readable image. But here's a train as I continue on Cold & Alone Smiley

However, take a gander at the full meta file if you wish-- I would love to know your thoughts on anything in there :D

Yes, after NES and SMS stuff MD feels like freedom.

I can tell, that pic is pretty much basic level on that system (saying this as somebody who knows the hardware pretty much inside out). Could be well worth trying =P

Would've been better if the image scaling was fucking consistent...

Thank you!! Getting my sleep-schedule changed this week, so nothing new, but I should get some more done this weekend Smiley

Mmm, no, it's perfectly fine. It's strange that the scaling is off (can't tell if it's game render, or gif-capture caused), but aside from that, the gif is fantastic.

@matriax: I love that style you're going for, it's minimalistic in a good way. I especially love the colors.
@BBreakfast: looks really creepy. I'm digging it
