Very interesting. Not a coder so I never would've thought about ligatures in code. It certainly is possible in my 6x10 mono:

From one pixel font maker to another- awesome! Really solid stuff. I'd nitpick on a few things, but you didn't ask for critique. But really overall you have a great skill at making these Question: any tips on getting FLS for cheaper? Or at least any tools you'd recommend (aside form BFM2)? Thank You Chris. Constructive Criticism, suggestions and feedback highly appreciated. There's a few tools that I'll recommend over FLS, Fontographer, his little brother BitFonter and BFM2 for pixel-bitmap font edition: Fontstruct (Browser tool) http://fontstruct.com/ Check the Pixel Optimized Gallery http://fontstruct.com/gallery?filters=staff-picks-only&category=pixel_optimizedIf you want to improve your font and make Open Type, Web Font, expand characters, etc. you can edit your font with: Birdfont (Donationware) https://birdfont.org/ You can import vector, bitmap and other formats from Photoshop, Illustrator, Gimp, and Inkscape into Birdfont to edit and compile TTF, EOT, OTF and SVG fonts. Glyphs (Mac only) https://glyphsapp.com/tutorials/pixelfontFontforge (Open source) https://fontforge.github.io/en-US/Raster Font Editor (Bitmap and raster fonts) http://www.cylog.org/graphics/rasterfonteditor.jsp8x8 Pixel ROM Font Editor https://www.min.at/prinz/o/software/pixelfont/I've designed and compiled pixel fonts with CorelDraw, but it crashes a lot. FontCreator (Is the best commercial alternative to FLS) http://www.high-logic.com/font-editor/fontcreator.htmlRoboFont (Mac only) http://doc.robofont.com/ and BitFontCreator (Windows only) http://www.iseasoft.com/bitfontcreator.html are way too expensive. We can achieve the same font quality with multi-platform software as Birdfont, Fontforge and Fontstruct to create .ttf pixel fonts. Here's a good article about type design: http://66.147.242.192/~operinan/2/2.3.1a/2.3.1.01.notes.htmCheers.

Nice. The spacing surrounding I, i, j, and l also suggests you could play with their kerning

First attempt at creating a sprite. Magnified the heck out of it but it's suppose to be a character I drew up after seeing some art of Instagram. His full name is 92 Disciples Sever The Throat Of Gods And Bathe In Their Blood. Or Just Sever for short.

Yeah, really nice! I like that sprite, too, ArtofTheWild. I think the outlines are a bit heavy - they're just a tool, so use 'em to accomplish whatever purpose you need (i.e. break outlines to imply heavier 3D form). The lighting could use a bit more contrast (on the jacket, specifically, I think). Anyway, nice work! ______ Here's a slash attack from a boss from Gearend. Finishing some stuff up!~

Been working on some character concept work. Color is loosely based on Jason M's "Today Land" palette, 26 colors total. edit: credited the wrong palette

@CyangmouArt: Your weapons remind me on the ones you can find in Fallout 4. The plasma gun looks like your Rail Gun (a little bit ) for example. I like it! @aamatniekss: I love your trees!

Miguli - Nice work, dude. supajackle - Nice doodle - cute work. CyangmouArt - Excellent shading on that soldier and those weapons! Landshark - Really nice animation. Just straight-up solid keyframes. aamatniekss - Nice separation between foreground and background. midoredomi - Pretty good. Showing it on a darker background would be nice, I think.
