psfftt of course you are that looks great good. My humble opinion, you could try using the darker outline to separate the mandibles(?) from the front legs a bit. Would a style like this, if not done half-heartedly like I did, work out? Like not actually isometric, but a sort of top-down view although rotated by 45 degrees? I recoloured that character sprite. I'm stuck with whether or not I should keep an outline like in the above image, but it would also help if the background were a tad bit darker than the character sprites.

Trying to practice vegetation. Not entirely happy with the rocks @Kebbab: I like it. I agree with midoredomi that you could separate the different forms a little better though.

Lunar Knights on the DS did this, it's pretty weird to look at but not in an offensive way. Could be eye-catching if done properly? Screenshot from the game:

Seems a bit strange that the regular chess pieces are viewed from the side while the monsters/enemies are in top-down. I kinda like how they look, though Boktai/lunarknights/solarboydjango convo
Huh. Looks interesting. I'm going to have a look at those games, thanks! I've also found a game called Yomawari: Night Alone, which uses the same perspective but it's not pixel art.

@kenit - Nice GUI. It looks pretty high-tech.
@Ninety - Very nice tree. I like your pixel clusters you've got going. Just detailed enough to make it feel "full".
@midoremi - Nice room - I think darker colors on the floor might be good, yeah (though then her pants might disappear).
@Kebbab - It's a little rough around the edges in terms of animation, but that's a pretty cool spider. Nice work on it - I think the feet seem a bit high up above the shadow, but it's good.
@08 - Really nice work on the level - I like how you did your colors here. The bad guy really stands out.
@Dragon - Love these characters. They're bright, and interesting. You might want to change the leaf patter on the side-view for the plant creature, but otherwise, they all look pretty cool.
