Is this like that one shade of green/yellow that Koreans can distinguish and nobody else can? Tongue

I just want ask simple question does this green looks yellowish in your monitor? I have some problem with my display colors. Every single green that I like turn too yellow in other monitor.   Dynamic contrast settings ruins all my colors   Concerned

Lime green, I'd say.

This is getting off-topic, but I'm sure many pixel artists here are interested in colour theory anyway Tongue

It's in the second part of these blog posts, CTRL+F "yeondu", but read the whole thing if you have time, it's very interesting.

trying to work out a HUD here, buuuuut i'm not so sure about it. placeholder icons btw

also, a question on the background: all my characters have light-ish colors, so am i going in the right direction by using darker colors at front (to contrast with the sprites) and gradually lighter colors as the objects in the bg get farther?

Been working on a city builder for the last two weeks for 1-Bit Clicker Jam on itch.io

Was stress testing stuff last night, randomly generated this monstrosity:

Tomorrow is the last day and there's soooo much left to do. Luckily, it's a day off so about 16h of gamedev awaits me... Tired

@Eigen , yes please! I love city-builders!

Made a little tutorial today, on how to draw a simple tree. Hope someone finds it useful! Smiley

The cycle is too fast, as soon as I finish reading the image changes so I can't see what you were talking about!

A bit off topic, but I'm not sure it's worth starting a new thread for this:

When it comes to AA in your pixel art, what's the best practice when dealing with border pixels and a transparent background? All the material I've read on the matter basically say "blend foreground with background" which is great if you're making a still image, and relatively worthless if you're making a sprite to be used in a game.

Working on a running animation for our farm life RPG, Homestead.

Animation is definitely my pixelart weakness but I'm pretty happy with how this one's turning out.

Also, slightly unrelated, but I made this mockup for fun yesterday:

I usually just stick with internal AA, but if you want you can just cheat and use transparent pixels. Tongue
