can I get some feedback on this? I am not sure about the colors
I was never a fan of suberbrothers style bulky dudes with skinny limbs, but I think here in particular it doesn't work laid on top of sharp skinny limb shadows. it just becomes an unreadable shrubbery of lines

@Eigen , yes please! I love city-builders!

Made a little tutorial today, on how to draw a simple tree. Hope someone finds it useful! Smiley

I like your method of laying down the pieces of the tree will have to try it as it makes it much more clear where branches are at. It also helps lay down light direction.

What's funny is that it's basically the same approach used for correct anatomical drawings of humans, except it builds up from branches instead of the skeleton.

I like your base colors. But if the characters are to pop out from the background, I would make them a bit darker (against the light background) and maybe a bit more saturated with a little more contrast.

Here is something mine:

Here is a tree in a cave, with some old sword.

EDIT: wow... 64x64 is tiny... here is the up-scaled version.

Your cloud placement sucks.

Other than that though, it's pretty cool.

I'm pretty sure the reflection from that tilted tree is contraphysical and I have a stupid itch to 'finish' your AA pass. It's great though. I love marshes and swamps visually

Oh yeah you're right! I was trying to make it quickly so the timelapse wouldn't be over 10minutes and such. :D Thanks though

Just banners for my greenlight page - using some old character art that you barely see in the game.

Also, a cheeky vote link Wink
