I'm thinking pill bug. But cool either way, can you ride on its back in-game?

Thanks! No, attempting to ride it would only lead to severe injury or death.

Hey all, longtime lurker here! I'm stepping back into pixel art after a very long hiatus. Here are a couple pieces I've done from pixel dailies prompts on twitter: And some animation practice: If anyone has any advice or crit, I'd love to hear it! (especially for the animation... I still feel pretty rusty and would appreciate whatever help I could get.)

Looks great, i would remove some singular pixels to make it less noisy.

Looks great, i would remove some singular pixels to make it less noisy. Yeah, I notice that around the character's face in the animation (particularly against a light background). Have to keep reminding myself to mind my outlines. Thanks for the tip! Looks so good! Love the design on the human character, and the way the white shapes peek out of the black outline on the lower characters is so fun. Some stuff I did yesterday:

Whoa, that's insanely good! The muted color palette on all of those characters has such a rustic feel to it. The designs themselves are great, too. Very strong silhouettes.

Really nice design on the orange cat character! But allow me to suggest something, Garfield. Lots of character have a favorite food, think Sonic the Hedgehog and chili dogs or Homer Simpson and donuts. Perhaps your cat character should have a favorite food as well. I thought about it for awhile. Now, this is a bit unconventional(usually people might think a cat's favorite food would be milk or tuna or something), but some sort of pasta dish seems like a good fit for your orange cat character. I went through a couple ideas in my head and came up with one I think you're really going to like- spaghetti! A bit of concept art: Nothing really comes to mind for the dog character's favorite food though. Maybe it needs to see the vet first, I don't think dogs usually puke up blood like that!
