Looks great except I feel the slow tilting of the background elements looks like screen tearing. I think it would look better if the bottom-limit of movement speed was higher. I find the slow motion interesting, personnally. But indeed, there is some tearing effect that should be addressed. I wonder, since there is little contrast on the vines part and more contrast on the leaves, what if the tilting through rotation-like algorithm was only applied to the vines and we kept axis-aligned pixels for the leaves that would just follow their attachment point as if they were sprites ? Oh well, I was just using this for a demo test, to test out the assets. It's the inbuilt GM:S sprite rotation.

I like the colors. Where are the eyes of the beaver?

The eyes were supposed to be the two 3px vertical strokes roughly in the middle of the face. This guy had a lot of readability issues so I ended up reworking him a lot: I like the new one a lot better, I hope that's still the case in 24 hours.

melerski, very nice. I like that simplicity. Bonus points if you animate the stuff a bit (though I know that galaxy would be a pain, haha).
cynical - Very nice, as usual. Love that tiny GBC-style 4-color aesthetic. Readability is key, and you've struck a very nice balance between nice sprites and personality, and simple shapes.
Nazareth_STG - Absolutely excellent. That high kick on the second girl is especially beautiful - really nice secondary motion on the hair and clothes. Also really like the consistency of form you've got going on - the shapes are super clean, and you've even got her pants stretching at the apex of the kick. Very nice work, man~!
