Reaching the sky

Amazing work. The three-point perspective looking up in that way really gives that dramatic feeling of looking at a massive statue. To pinpoint, are birds able to go up there at a clouds-level? To an eye that keeps attention to details it can break the immersion.

Yeah, i've gotten many comments about the clouds level issue. The thing is I added the clouds in front of the statue as the very last thing in this piece. and I regretted it as soon as I posted it online haha :D But yeah, it wasn't initially meant to be as big looking sort of. So everything would make more sense if I removed the clouds in front of the statue.

New background for my shmup. It looks a lot better in game, has some glow, but i left only true pixels w/o fx for pixel connoisseurs.

@DieMango: those look so great. i'm really liking the way you're using simple shapes in the silhouette and to block out the shading. colors look fantastic too.
@Feenicks: really getting some snes vibes from this. the detail really adds to it. i feel like the colors could be a bit brighter, would add a lot of appeal, unless you're still trynna go for a calmer color palette.

I thought up a game where you play as Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. You are a popular and beloved citizen in the town and when you hear that a maiden from the town is imprisoned by a terrifying beast you rally the town and go after the beast yourself. It would be a romp through a danger filled enchanted castle followed by a tough boss fight. However, it's Disney IP... Although I could change the names and designs and just use it as inspiration.

Some other old junk I don't think anyone else has seen:

These mock-ups have some pixel art although it is mostly just mspaint drawing:

Trying some real proportions for sprites, started with the main characters. Still is very wip.

Really cool, I can sense the desolation. I like the background with that atmospheric perspective giving the illusion of a 3d environment.

I made a tree to go in the background of my game.

Got any suggestions for some final touches and changes?
